Dry Prawns Solid Chutney
A traditional Indian-Kerala chutney made with roasted dry prawns, coconut, and spices, ground into a solid paste.
Ingredients
- 1 handful Dried prawns
- 1 cup Coconut, shredded
- 1 tbsp Tamarind paste
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 units Dry red chillies
- 1 sprig Curry leaves
Instructions
- 1Briefly roast the dried prawns in a pan over medium heat until aromatic. Transfer them to a mixer grinder.
- 2Add shredded coconut, tamarind paste, salt, and curry leaves to the mixer grinder with the roasted prawns. Fry the dry red chillies separately and add them to the grinder.
- 3Grind all the ingredients in the mixer grinder, adding a sprinkle of water, until a solid paste forms. Shape the chutney into a ball.
