Soya Chap Tikki
Soyabean is the best source for plant-based protein. Soyabean tikki is a high-protein and delicious dish you can add to your diet.
Ingredients
- 100 gms Soya chunks
- 1 tbsp Besan (Gram flour)
- 1 medium Onion (Medium-sized)
- 2 unit/count Green chillies
- 0.5 bunch Coriander leaves
- 1 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 0.5 tsp Red chilli powder
- 0.5 tsp Garam masala
- 0.5 tsp Cumin powder
- 0.5 tsp Coriander powder
- 2 cups Water (For boiling soya chunks)
- 2 tbsp Oil (For greasing the pan)
Instructions
- 1In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add salt and soya chunks, and boil for 10 minutes until the chunks are softened. Drain and rinse the soya chunks to remove any odor, then squeeze out excess water.
- 2Using a food processor, grind the squeezed soya chunks until they are finely processed.
- 3Finely slice the onion and green chillies.
- 4In a bowl, combine the ground soya chunks, besan, sliced onions, green chillies, finely chopped coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix thoroughly to form a cohesive mixture.
- 5Take portions of the mixture and shape them into thick disc-shaped tikkis.
- 6Heat a non-stick pan over medium flame and grease it with oil. Place the tikkis on the pan and cook until the first side is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side until golden brown as well.
- 7Serve the tikkis hot.
