Step 1
Wash chicken well & cut it into pieces & keep it aside in a kadai.
Step 2
Saute red whole chillies & coriander seeds separately in oil & powder it in mixie into fine powder & then add water & grind it into fine paste. Put the paste alongwith cut onions, ginger, green chilly, coconut pieces, turmeric & salt into the kadai, mix altogether & coat it over the chicken & keep it aside for 45 minutes
Step 3
Then keep the kadai on gas & put water in the chicken - water should be above the chicken (add water in between if you feel it is less). Cook the chicken with a covered lid till it is cooked well & water has evaporated almost completely. It should take around 45 minutes for the chicken to cook well.
Step 4
Now switch off the gas & put curry leaves into it. Also put coconut oil in the kadai on all sides & over the chicken, then close it with a lid & serve it after sometime alongwith rice & curry.
