Step 1
Cook dal in a pressure cooker with a little oil and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder till fully mashed.
Step 2
Boil the chopped tomatoes and chopped spinach with cooked Dal till the tomato is fully mashed.
Step 3
Add turmeric and red chili powder and cook for a few minutes.
Step 4
Grind coconut and jeera to a smooth paste and add it to the dal. Reduce flame to medium and let it boil for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Take another pan and fry the sliced onions till golden brown .and add to the dal. The dal is now ready and can be served with hot rice.
