Step 1
On a pressure cooker,on medium flame,add 6 tbspn of coconut oil.
Step 2
when the oil is hot,add chopped onions,tomatoes,green chillies,ginger garlic paste,curry leaves into it and sauté well.add salt according to your taste.
Step 3
When the onions are well cooked,add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,Corrionder powder,black pepper powder,garam masala and mix well.cook until the masala powders are well roasted.
Step 4
Now add the cleaned beef into the cooker.adjust the salt.give it a good mix.add 1 cup of water and cook it for 20 minutes(5 whistles) on medium flame.
Step 5
Finally squeeze 1 lemon into the curry for a better taste.Kerala style pothu varattiyadh/beef curry is ready to enjoy!!
