Step 1
Soak the green mung beans for 3-4 hours.then wash it well and take it in a pressure cooker.add 3 cups of water and let it cook for 4 whistles.
Ps:we add 3 cups of water for 1 cup of mung beans.
Step 2
Once the pressure is completely released,remove the lid and set the flame on low.mix the cooked mung beans well and crush it little with a spatula.
Step 3
now add cumin powder,coconut shredded,sugar,cardamom powder and milk into it.mix well and cook on medium flame until it becomes thick.
Ps:you can also use jaggery solution instead of sugar
Step 4
finally put a pan on medium flame.add ghee,cashews and raisins.transfer it to the mung bean payasam and mix.
Step 5
Delicious green mung bean payasam is ready to have!!
