Step 1
Dry roast the given ingredients in 4 batches as mentioned below:-
BATCH-1 : Dry roast coriander seeds for about 1 minute on low flame until it brings out a good aroma and put aside.
Step 2
BATCH-2 : Dry roast toor dal, chana dal , urad dal , cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds until the raw smell of the spices are gone and put aside.
Step 3
BATCH-3 : Dry roast mustard seeds on low flame for 30 secs and put aside.
Step 4
BATCH-4 : Dry roast curry leaves, black pepper corns and dry red chillies for 30 secs and turn off the flame. Add turmeric and asafoetida and salute until it turns aromatic and put aside.
Step 5
After the dry roasted mixture cools down grind them into a fine powder.
