Step 1
Soak rice, chana dal, tuvar dal & urad dal altogether in water for 4 hours.
Step 2
After 4 hours coarse grind it in mixie adding red chillies & salt.
Step 3
Next add to the batter finely cut onions & curry leaves also finely chopped
Step 4
Finally, add a pinch of asafoetida or hing & jeera & mix the batter well
Step 5
Batter should be slightly thick like idli batter.
Step 6
Then keep a dosa tava on gas & make thick dosas. Pour oil from all sides, flip it over, keep the gas on low flame. Both the sides should be well done & crisp.
Step 7
With this batter you can make 8 Ada dosas. Ada dosas can be had with butter or coriander chutney.
Step 8
Ada can be made immediately but it tastes better if you keep it for an hour or so & make it.
