Step 1
Put oil in a pan. Crackle mustard seeds, add onion, green chillies & curry leaves & saute till onion is translucent. Next add water & salt & boil, then add roasted vermicelli & cook till it is cooked well & all the water evaporates. Finally add coconut & saute for 2 minutes. Vermicelli upuma is ready. You can also add channa dal, cashew & grated ginger as per your preference & saute in oil after mustard seeds crackle.
