Step 1
Wash the raw bananas, wipe off the water & peel the skin of the raw banana with a knife. Note that the outer covering should not be completely peeled off, keep thin layer of the outer cover of the raw banana so that the banana doesn't get smashed while cooking.
Step 2
Next cut the peeled banana into four longish strips & then again cut it into small cubes.
Step 3
Then take a small kadai put oil in it. Once oil is hot put onions into it by cutting the onions into small pieces. Saute for a minute add cut banana cubes & saute it again for a minute along with onion. Add turmeric, chilly powder & curry leaves & saute again with closed lid. After it is half cooked, add salt & cook it without lid till it is fully cooked & gives a fried texture. Raw banana sabji is ready, serve it as a side dish with rice & curry.
