Ingredients
- 1/2 pound Almonds
- 8 count Eggs
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 count Lemon
- 1 tablespoon Brandy
- 4 count Ladyfingers
Instructions
- 1Blanch the almonds by pouring boiling water over them. Then, pound them in a mortar or grate them on a grater (grating is recommended).
- 2Vigorously beat the yolks of the eggs with the sugar. Add the grated peel and juice of the lemon, the brandy, and the grated ladyfingers.
- 3Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites and the prepared almonds. Bake in a preheated moderate oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
