To Cure the Sting of a Wasp
A traditional remedy using alkaline solution to neutralize wasp sting venom and provide immediate relief from pain and swelling.
Instructions
- 1Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot or kettle. Pour the boiling water into a heat-safe bowl or basin. Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda to the boiling water and stir until dissolved.
- 2Hold the brush by the handle with bristles facing down. Dip only the bristles into the cleaning solution, keeping the wooden or padded base dry if possible. Shake and swirl the brush vigorously in the solution for 2-3 minutes until all dirt, oils, and buildup are loosened and the bristles appear clean.
- 3Pour clean hot water over the bristles to rinse away all traces of the baking soda solution. Shake the brush vigorously to remove excess water. Repeat rinsing if any residue remains.
- 4Shake the brush thoroughly to remove as much water as possible. Place the brush bristles-down on a clean towel near a heat source (such as a radiator, sunny windowsill, or in a warm room) to dry completely. Alternatively, lay it on its side with bristles hanging over the edge of a counter to allow air circulation. Allow to dry for 4-6 hours or until completely dry before use.
