Historical Remedy for Trigeminal Neuralgia (Tic-Douloureux)

A historical topical remedy using rose water and vinegar for nerve pain relief. This recipe is preserved for historical interest only and should NOT be used as medical treatment. Modern trigeminal neuralgia requires professional medical care.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 pint Rose water (Approximately 1 cup or 240ml)
  • 2 teaspoons White vinegar
  • 12 pieces Clean linen cloths (Fresh cloth needed for each application, 3-4 times daily for 2-3 days)

Instructions

  1. 1In a clean container, combine half a pint of rose water with two teaspoons of white vinegar. Stir thoroughly to mix.
  2. 2Soak a fresh piece of clean linen in the rose water and vinegar mixture. Apply the dampened cloth to the affected area where pain is experienced.
  3. 3Repeat the application three to four times daily, using a fresh piece of linen for each application. Continue this treatment for two to three days.
