Instructions
- 1Separate the egg white from the yolk and place the white into a clean saucer or small bowl.
- 2Add the walnut-sized piece of alum to the egg white. Stir continuously with a spoon or stick until the mixture becomes a thick jelly consistency.
- 3Spread a portion of the jelly mixture onto a piece of lint or cloth large enough to cover the sprained area. Apply the compress directly to the sprain.
- 4Keep the injured limb in a horizontal position. Change the compress for a fresh one as often as it gets warm or dry, reapplying the jelly mixture to new pieces of lint as needed.
