Chicken Force-meat
A simple recipe for chicken forcemeat, likely intended as a base for other dishes. Modernized to be a versatile chicken mixture.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground Chicken (Use good quality ground chicken.)
- 0.5 Onion (Finely chopped)
- 1 teaspoon Ginger (Grated)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic (Minced)
- 1 Green Chili (Finely chopped (optional))
- 2 tablespoons Cilantro (Freshly chopped)
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt (Or to taste)
- 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly ground)
- 1 Egg (As a binder)
Instructions
- 1In a bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, grated ginger, minced garlic, chopped green chili (if using), chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper.
- 2Add the egg to the mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. This will help bind the forcemeat together.
- 3The chicken force-meat is now ready to be used in other recipes. It can be formed into small balls and pan-fried, baked, or steamed. Alternatively, it can be used as a filling for pastries or dumplings. Cook until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside, about 15 minutes.
