CHAMPAGNE SOUR

CHAMPAGNE SOUR

This elegant 1917 cocktail offers a refreshing twist on the traditional sour by utilizing sparkling Champagne as the base instead of spirits. The crisp effervescence of the wine pairs beautifully with tart lemon juice and a float of rich brandy for depth. Served over shaved ice and garnished with fresh seasonal berries, it makes for a sophisticated and visually stunning aperitif.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Shaved ice (Quantity estimated to fill glass 1/3 full.)
  • 3 dashes Lemon juice
  • 4 ounces Champagne (Quantity estimated to fill glass. Use chilled Champagne.)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh fruit and berries (For garnish (e.g., strawberries, raspberries, orange slice).)
  • 1 dash Brandy (Or a splash, to float on top.)

  2. 2Add 3 dashes of lemon juice over the ice, then fill the remainder of the glass with Champagne.
