Turkish Soup
A simple and comforting Turkish soup made with brown soup stock and rice. This recipe provides a basic framework that can be customized with additional vegetables and herbs to suit your taste.
Ingredients
- 5 cups Brown Soup Stock (Use homemade or store-bought. Vegetable, chicken, or beef stock can be used.)
- 0.25 cup Rice (Long grain or medium grain rice works well.)
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt (Or to taste)
- 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly ground, or to taste)
Instructions
- 1In a medium saucepan, combine the brown soup stock and rice.
- 2Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and tender.
- 3Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
