Tomato Cream Toast

A simple and comforting dish of toasted bread topped with a creamy tomato sauce. Perfect for a quick breakfast, lunch, or snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Bread slices (Use your favorite type of bread)
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce (Use store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon Heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 clove Garlic (Minced)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt (Or to taste)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper (Or to taste)

Instructions

  1. 1Toast the bread slices to your desired level of crispness. You can use a toaster or toast them in a pan with a little butter.
  2. 2In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic. Stir in the tomato sauce, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the heavy cream and cook for another minute until heated through. Do not boil.
  3. 3Spoon the tomato cream sauce over the toasted bread slices. Serve immediately.
