Toasted Walnuts with Sage
Simple toasted walnuts seasoned with salt, pepper, and sage. A quick and flavorful snack or topping.
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup English walnut meats, broken in pieces
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt
- 0.125 teaspoon Black pepper (Freshly ground)
- 0.5 teaspoon Dried sage (Rubbed)
Instructions
- 1Place the broken walnut pieces in a dry skillet over medium heat. Toast for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant and lightly browned. Be careful not to burn them.
- 2Remove the toasted walnuts from the skillet and place them in a bowl. Immediately sprinkle with salt, pepper, and sage. Toss to coat evenly.
- 3Serve immediately as a snack or use as a topping for salads, soups, or other dishes.
