Sweet Bread Dough

A simple sweet bread dough recipe, perfect for rolls or small loaves.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bread dough (Use your favorite bread dough recipe or store-bought dough.)
  • 1 Egg (Large)
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar (Packed)
  • 0.25 cup Sour milk (Can substitute with buttermilk or milk with 1 tsp lemon juice)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (Melted)

Instructions

  1. 1If using homemade dough, prepare it according to your recipe. If using store-bought dough, let it come to room temperature.
  2. 2In a bowl, whisk together the egg, brown sugar, sour milk, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. 3Gently fold the wet ingredients into the bread dough until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  4. 4Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion into a roll. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
