Simple Pepper Pasta
A basic pasta dish seasoned with salt and pepper. Can be made with macaroni, spaghetti, or other Italian pastas.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Macaroni (Or spaghetti or other Italian pasta)
- 8 cups Water (For boiling pasta)
- 1 tablespoon Salt (For pasta water)
- 4 cups Chicken or vegetable stock
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt (To taste)
- 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper (Freshly ground, to taste)
Instructions
- 1Bring water to a rolling boil in a large pot. Add salt. Add macaroni and cook according to package directions, until al dente (usually 8-10 minutes).
- 2Drain the cooked macaroni in a colander or strainer.
- 3In a saucepan, heat the chicken or vegetable stock to a simmer or boiling point.
- 4Add the drained macaroni to the heated stock. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
