Simple Lemon Butter Sauce

A quick and easy lemon butter sauce, perfect for seafood, vegetables, or pasta.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Unsalted Butter (4 ounces or 1 stick)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt (Or to taste)
  • 0.125 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly ground, or to taste)

Instructions

  1. 1In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Be careful not to brown it.
  2. 2Slowly whisk in the lemon juice. The sauce may appear to separate slightly, but continue whisking until it emulsifies and becomes smooth.
  3. 3Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately over your choice of protein, vegetables, or pasta.
