Simple Chocolate Dessert
A basic recipe for a chocolate dessert, potentially involving fermentation or other processes related to fats and oils.
Ingredients
- 200 grams Dark Chocolate (70% cacao) (High-quality dark chocolate is recommended.)
- 200 ml Heavy Cream (For a richer flavor, use full-fat cream.)
- 50 grams Unsalted Butter (Adds richness and shine.)
- 30 grams Granulated Sugar (Adjust to your preferred sweetness.)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (Enhances the chocolate flavor.)
- 1 pinch Pinch of Salt (Balances the sweetness.)
Instructions
- 1Chop the dark chocolate into small, even pieces. This will help it melt smoothly.
- 2In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, butter, and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved. Do not boil.
- 3Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for 1 minute to soften, then stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- 4Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix well to combine.
- 5Pour the chocolate mixture into individual serving dishes or a small baking dish. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
- 6Serve chilled. Garnish with fresh berries, whipped cream, or a dusting of cocoa powder, if desired.
