Ingredients

  • 6 medium Apples (Peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)
  • 0.5 cup Butter (Melted)
  • 0.5 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1.5 cups Vanilla Wafers (Crushed)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples.
  2. 2In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples with sugar and cinnamon. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. 3In a greased 8x8 inch baking dish, layer half of the apple mixture. Sprinkle half of the crushed vanilla wafers over the apples. Repeat with the remaining apples and wafers.
  4. 4Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top layer of wafers.
  5. 5Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  6. 6Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
