Salmon Cakes
A simple recipe for salmon cakes using stale bread crumbs and cream.
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup Soft stale bread crumbs
- 0.5 cup Cooked flaked salmon
- 2 tablespoons Heavy cream
- 1 Egg
- 2 tablespoons Melted butter
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper
- 0.25 cup Milk
Instructions
- 1In a small saucepan, combine milk and bread crumbs. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
- 2Add the flaked salmon to the bread crumb mixture. Ensure the salmon is well incorporated.
- 3In a bowl, combine cream, egg (slightly beaten), melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- 4Add the cream mixture to the salmon and bread crumb mixture. Stir until everything is well combined.
- 5Form the mixture into small patties. Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
