Rice Griddle-cakes II

Simple rice griddle-cakes made with milk. A basic recipe that can be customized with spices or sweeteners.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Cooked Rice (Leftover rice works best)
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt (Or to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons Oil (For cooking the griddle-cakes)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, milk, flour, and salt. Mix well until a smooth batter forms.
  2. 2Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
  3. 3Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle for each griddle-cake. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. 4Serve the rice griddle-cakes hot. They can be enjoyed plain or with your favorite toppings, such as butter, syrup, or chutney.
