Quick Yeast Dough

A simple recipe for a quick yeast dough, suitable for small baked goods or as a starter for other recipes.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 teaspoon Active dry yeast (Equivalent to approximately ½ cake of fresh yeast)
  • 2 tablespoons Lukewarm water
  • 2 tablespoons Melted butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 0.25 teaspoon Lemon zest (From about ¼ of a lemon)

Instructions

  1. 1In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in 2 tablespoons of lukewarm water. Let stand for 5-10 minutes, or until foamy.
  2. 2In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, egg, and lemon zest. Mix well.
  3. 3Add the yeast mixture to the butter and egg mixture. Stir until well combined. The dough is now ready to be used in your desired recipe.
