A simple yet delicious omelet, modernized with updated techniques and ingredient measurements for a perfect breakfast or light meal.
Ingredients
- 2 Large Eggs
- 0.125 teaspoon Salt
- 0.0625 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly ground)
- 1 tablespoon Cold Water
- 1 tablespoon Butter (Unsalted)
Instructions
- 1In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, pepper, and water until light and frothy.
- 2Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt completely, coating the bottom of the pan.
- 3Pour the egg mixture into the hot skillet. Let it cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes, until the edges start to set. Gently lift the edges of the omelet with a spatula and tilt the pan to allow the uncooked egg to flow underneath. Continue cooking until the omelet is mostly set but still slightly moist on top.
- 4Fold the omelet in half and slide it onto a plate. Serve immediately.
