Modernized Plain Omelet

Ingredients

  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 0.125 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.0625 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly ground)
  • 1 tablespoon Cold Water
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (Unsalted)

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, pepper, and water until light and frothy.
  2. 2Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt completely, coating the bottom of the pan.
  3. 3Pour the egg mixture into the hot skillet. Let it cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes, until the edges start to set. Gently lift the edges of the omelet with a spatula and tilt the pan to allow the uncooked egg to flow underneath. Continue cooking until the omelet is mostly set but still slightly moist on top.
  4. 4Fold the omelet in half and slide it onto a plate. Serve immediately.
