Modern Water Toast
A simple and quick snack or light meal made by dipping toast in salted boiling water and topping with butter.
Ingredients
- 2 slices Bread slices (Use your favorite type of bread)
- 2 cups Water (For boiling)
- 0.5 tsp Salt (Or to taste)
- 2 tbsp Butter (Or as desired)
Instructions
- 1In a saucepan, bring the water to a rolling boil over high heat. Add salt and stir to dissolve.
- 2Quickly dip each slice of dry toast into the boiling salted water, ensuring both sides are moistened. Do not soak the toast; a quick dip is all that's needed.
- 3Immediately spread the dipped toast slices with butter while they are still warm. Serve at once.
