Ingredients

  • 750 ml Soda Water (Chilled)
  • 500 ml Sauterne Wine (A sweet white wine)
  • 0.5 orange Orange Rind (Use a vegetable peeler to get wide strips)
  • 0.5 lemon Lemon Rind (Use a vegetable peeler to get wide strips)
  • 4 tablespoons Orange Curaçao (An orange-flavored liqueur)
  • 0.33 cup Sugar (Granulated)
  • 1 sprig Mint Leaves (Fresh)
  • 0.5 orange Orange Slices (For garnish)
  • 12 strawberries Strawberries (Fresh, halved or quartered)

Instructions

  1. 1In a pitcher, combine the orange rind, lemon rind, orange curaçao, and sugar. Cover the pitcher and let it stand at room temperature for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to infuse.
  2. 2Add the Sauterne wine to the pitcher. Stir well to combine. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the rinds. Cover the strained mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill thoroughly.
  3. 3Just before serving, add the chilled soda water to the pitcher. Gently stir to combine. Add the mint leaves, orange slices, and strawberries. Serve immediately in chilled glasses.
