Modern Reception Cocoa
A simple and comforting hot cocoa recipe, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Unsweetened cocoa powder (Original recipe calls for 3 tablespoons, adjusted for 2 servings.)
- 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar (Original recipe calls for 1/4 cup, adjusted for 2 servings.)
- 0.125 teaspoon Pinch of salt (A few grains of salt.)
- 2 cups Milk (any kind) (Original recipe calls for 4 cups, adjusted for 2 servings.)
- 0.5 teaspoon Vanilla extract (Optional, for added flavor.)
Instructions
- 1In a small saucepan, whisk together the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
- 2Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cocoa is hot and steamy, but not boiling. Stir in vanilla extract, if using.
- 3Pour into mugs and serve immediately. Garnish with marshmallows or whipped cream, if desired.
