Modern Orange Omelet
A light and citrusy omelet with fresh orange slices and a hint of sweetness.
Ingredients
- 3 Eggs
- 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
- 0.125 teaspoon Salt (Pinch of salt)
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
- 2 Oranges
- 0.5 tablespoon Butter
- 2.5 tablespoons Orange juice
Instructions
- 1Crack the eggs into a bowl. Add the salt, powdered sugar, and lemon juice. Whisk until light and frothy.
- 2Heat a small non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt and coat the pan. Pour in the egg mixture and cook until the edges are set and the center is still slightly moist. Gently shake the pan to prevent sticking. Add orange juice.
- 3While the omelet is cooking, remove the skin from the oranges and cut them into slices lengthwise.
- 4Fold in one-third of the orange slices into the omelet, sprinkling them with powdered sugar. Slide the omelet onto a plate and arrange the remaining orange slices around it. Sprinkle the entire omelet with additional powdered sugar.
