Modern Omelets
A simple guide to making perfect omelets, customized to your liking.
Ingredients
- 2 Large Eggs (Adjust quantity based on serving size)
- 2 tablespoons Milk or Cream (For a richer omelet, use cream)
- 1 teaspoon Butter (For cooking)
- 0.125 teaspoon Salt (To taste)
- 0.0625 teaspoon Black Pepper (To taste)
- 0.25 cup Optional Fillings (Cheese, vegetables, cooked meats, herbs)
Instructions
- 1In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, salt, and pepper until well combined and slightly frothy.
- 2Heat a non-stick omelet pan or frying pan over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt and coat the pan. Pour the egg mixture into the pan. Let it cook for a few seconds until the edges begin to set. Gently push the cooked edges towards the center, allowing the uncooked egg to flow underneath. Repeat this process until most of the egg is set but the top is still slightly moist.
- 3Sprinkle your desired fillings over one half of the omelet. Gently fold the other half over the fillings. Cook for another minute or two, until the fillings are heated through and the omelet is cooked to your liking.
- 4Slide the omelet onto a plate and serve immediately. Enjoy!
