- 2 Eggs (Bind the ingredients and add richness.)
- 0.25 cup Melted butter (Adds flavor and moisture.)
- 0.75 cup Milk (Adds moisture and helps with consistency.)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (Enhances the flavor.)
- 0.5 cup Chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or almonds) (Adds texture and flavor.)
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners or grease well.
- 2In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- 3In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, maple syrup, eggs, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
- 4Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 5Gently fold in the chopped nuts.
- 6Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full.
- 7Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 8Let the muffins cool in the tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
