Ingredients

  • 1 pound Dandelion greens (About 1 peck in original recipe)
  • 2 quarts Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar (Optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. 1Wash the dandelion greens thoroughly under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris. Remove the roots.
  2. 2Bring 2 quarts of salted water to a boil in a large pot. Add the dandelion greens and cook for 1 hour, or until tender. Drain well.
  3. 3In a bowl, toss the cooked dandelion greens with butter, salt, and pepper. Serve immediately with a splash of vinegar, if desired.
