Modern Cracker Stuffing
A simple and savory cracker stuffing, perfect as a side dish for poultry or other main courses.
Ingredients
- 4 cups Cracker Crumbs (Use your favorite crackers, such as saltines or Ritz.)
- 0.5 cup Butter (Unsalted butter is recommended.)
- 0.5 cup Onion (Finely chopped.)
- 2 stalks Celery Stalks (Finely chopped.)
- 1 teaspoon Poultry Seasoning
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt (Or to taste.)
- 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly ground, or to taste.)
- 1.5 cups Chicken Broth (Low sodium.)
Instructions
- 1Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and celery. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- 2In a large bowl, combine cracker crumbs, sautéed vegetables, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- 3Gradually add chicken broth to the cracker mixture, stirring until moistened but not soggy. Transfer to a greased 8x8 inch baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
