Modern Cracker Stuffing

A simple and savory cracker stuffing, perfect as a side dish for poultry or other main courses.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Cracker Crumbs (Use your favorite crackers, such as saltines or Ritz.)
  • 0.5 cup Butter (Unsalted butter is recommended.)
  • 0.5 cup Onion (Finely chopped.)
  • 2 stalks Celery Stalks (Finely chopped.)
  • 1 teaspoon Poultry Seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt (Or to taste.)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly ground, or to taste.)
  • 1.5 cups Chicken Broth (Low sodium.)

Instructions

  1. 1Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and celery. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. 2In a large bowl, combine cracker crumbs, sautéed vegetables, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. 3Gradually add chicken broth to the cracker mixture, stirring until moistened but not soggy. Transfer to a greased 8x8 inch baking dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
