Modern Club Punch

A refreshing and flavorful punch, perfect for parties. This modernized version of the classic Club Punch balances sweetness, citrus, and a blend of spirits for a delightful experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar (Adjust to taste)
  • 750 ml Burgundy Wine (One standard bottle)
  • 1 cup Dark Rum
  • 0.33 cup Brandy
  • 0.33 cup Benedictine Liqueur
  • 1 quart Club Soda (Chilled)
  • 2 medium, sliced Oranges
  • 1 cup Pineapple chunks (Fresh or canned, drained)
  • 2 Lemons (Juiced)
  • 1 cup Strong Tea Infusion (Brewed and cooled)
  • as needed Ice

Instructions

  1. 1In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  2. 2In a large punch bowl, combine Burgundy wine, rum, brandy, Benedictine, sliced oranges, pineapple chunks, lemon juice, and tea infusion.
  3. 3Sweeten the punch to taste with the cooled simple syrup. Stir well to combine. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill.
  4. 4Just before serving, add club soda and ice to the punch bowl. Stir gently and serve in punch glasses.
