Modern Caper Sauce

A tangy and flavorful caper sauce, perfect for fish, chicken, or vegetables. This recipe builds upon a simple butter sauce with the addition of briny capers and a touch of acidity.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter (4 ounces or 1 stick)
  • 0.25 cup Capers (Drained from their liquor)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice (Freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley (Chopped, for garnish)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt (Or to taste)
  • 0.125 teaspoon Black pepper (Freshly ground, or to taste)

Instructions

  1. 1In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Be careful not to brown it.
  2. 2Stir in the drained capers and lemon juice. Heat gently for 1-2 minutes to warm through.
  3. 3Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
