Modern Baking Powder Biscuits

Ingredients
- 2.5 cups All-purpose flour (Plus more for dusting)
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt
- 6 tablespoons Cold unsalted butter (Cut into small cubes)
- 0.75 cup Cold milk
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 3Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Work quickly to keep the butter cold.
- 4Add the cold milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. The dough will be shaggy.
- 5Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently pat the dough into a ¾-inch thick rectangle. Use a 2.5-inch biscuit cutter or a knife to cut out biscuits. Place the biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet.
