Indian Bread
A simple and slightly sweet Indian-inspired bread made with graham flour and cornmeal.
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups Graham flour
- 1 cup Cornmeal
- 0.5 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 cup Molasses
- 1.67 cups Milk
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- 2In a large bowl, whisk together the graham flour, cornmeal, baking soda, and salt.
- 3Add the molasses and milk to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 4Pour the batter into a greased 8x8 inch baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 5Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
