Game Salad
A refreshing fruit salad with a tangy and slightly spicy dressing, perfect as a light appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 15-ounce can Canned peach halves (In syrup, drained)
- 4 leaves Lettuce leaves (For serving)
- 2 teaspoons Granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon Celery salt
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt
- 0.125 teaspoon Black pepper
- 0.03125 pinch Cayenne pepper (A few grains)
- 5 drops Tabasco sauce
- 4 tablespoons Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Fresh lime juice
Instructions
- 1Drain the syrup from the canned peaches. If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them.
- 2In a small bowl, whisk together the sugar, celery salt, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper. Add the Tabasco sauce. Gradually whisk in the olive oil, followed by the fresh lime juice, until the dressing is emulsified.
- 3Arrange the peach halves (or slices) on lettuce leaves. Pour the dressing over the peaches. Serve immediately.
