Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
- 1.5 cups Milk
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt
- 0.125 teaspoon Black pepper
- 2 slices Toast (For serving)
Instructions

- 2Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, to form a smooth roux. Be careful not to burn the butter.
- 3Gradually whisk in the milk, a little at a time, ensuring each addition is fully incorporated before adding more. This will prevent lumps from forming.
