Coconut Cream Candy

A simple and sweet coconut cream candy, perfect for a homemade treat.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Butter
  • 0.333 cup Shredded coconut
  • 0.5 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. 1Put butter into a saucepan. When melted, add sugar and milk, and stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. 2Heat to boiling-point, and boil for twelve minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
  3. 3Remove from fire, add coconut and vanilla, and beat until creamy and mixture begins to sugar slightly around edge of saucepan.
  4. 4Pour at once into a buttered pan, cool slightly, and mark in squares.
