- 0.75 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 Egg
- 0.5 cup Milk
- 1.33 cups All-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking powder
- 1 recipe Chocolate Frosting (See recipe below)
- 1 Prepared Pie Crust (Store-bought or homemade)
- 0.5 cup Butter (For Chocolate Frosting)
- 3 cups Powdered Sugar (For Chocolate Frosting)
- 0.5 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (For Chocolate Frosting)
- 0.33 cup Milk (For Chocolate Frosting)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (For Chocolate Frosting)
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the prepared pie crust in a pie dish.
- 2In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, then gradually add the milk, mixing until well combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

- 4In a large bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Gradually beat in the cocoa powder, alternating with the milk, until the frosting reaches your desired consistency. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- 5Once the pie is completely cool, spread a thin layer of chocolate frosting evenly over the top.
