Cerealine Pudding with Fruit
A simple and comforting pudding made with cerealine (cream of wheat), milk, and your favorite fruits. Inspired by historical recipes for a light and nourishing dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Cerealine (Cream of Wheat) (Can substitute with other fine semolina.)
- 2 cups Milk (Whole milk recommended for richness.)
- 2 tablespoons Sugar (Adjust to taste.)
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 cup Fresh Fruit (Berries, sliced bananas, peaches, etc.)
- 1 tablespoon Butter (Optional, for added richness.)
Instructions
- 1In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and salt.
- 2Heat the milk over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- 3Slowly whisk in the cerealine, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
- 4Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the pudding thickens to your desired consistency (about 5-10 minutes).
- 5Stir in the sugar and butter (if using) until dissolved.
- 6Pour the pudding into bowls and top with fresh fruit. Serve warm.
