Cerealine Pudding with Fruit

Cerealine Pudding with Fruit

A simple and comforting pudding made with cerealine (cream of wheat), milk, and your favorite fruits. Inspired by historical recipes for a light and nourishing dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cerealine (Cream of Wheat) (Can substitute with other fine semolina.)
  • 2 cups Milk (Whole milk recommended for richness.)
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar (Adjust to taste.)
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 cup Fresh Fruit (Berries, sliced bananas, peaches, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (Optional, for added richness.)

Instructions

  1. 1In a medium saucepan, combine the milk and salt.
  2. 2Heat the milk over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  3. 3Slowly whisk in the cerealine, stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
  4. 4Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the pudding thickens to your desired consistency (about 5-10 minutes).
  5. 5Stir in the sugar and butter (if using) until dissolved.
  6. 6Pour the pudding into bowls and top with fresh fruit. Serve warm.
