Berry Muffins Biscuits
A simple recipe for making biscuits, inspired by berry muffins. These biscuits incorporate the sweetness of berries for a delightful breakfast or snack.
Ingredients
- 2.5 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 cup Cold unsalted butter (Cut into small cubes)
- 0.75 cup Cold milk
- 0.25 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 cup Fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, or mixed)
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- 3Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4Gently stir in the cold milk until just combined. Fold in the fresh berries.
- 5Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently pat the dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle. Use a biscuit cutter or knife to cut out biscuits.
- 6Place the biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet. Let them rise for 10 minutes.
- 7Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 8Let the biscuits cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
