Baked Egg with Bread Crumbs
A simple baked egg dish with a bread crumb topping, perfect for a light breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Fine bread crumbs (Use stale bread crumbs for best results.)
- 0.25 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste.)
- 2 tablespoons Heavy cream (Can substitute with milk for a lighter version.)
- 1 Egg (Fresh, large egg.)
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2In a small bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, salt, and cream until well combined.
- 3Place half of the bread crumb mixture into an egg-shirrer or a small oven-safe dish.
- 4Carefully crack the egg into the dish on top of the bread crumb mixture.
- 5Cover the egg with the remaining bread crumb mixture.
- 6Bake in the preheated oven for 6 minutes, or until the egg is cooked to your liking.
