Baked Egg with Bread Crumbs

A simple baked egg dish with a bread crumb topping, perfect for a light breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Fine bread crumbs (Use stale bread crumbs for best results.)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste.)
  • 2 tablespoons Heavy cream (Can substitute with milk for a lighter version.)
  • 1 Egg (Fresh, large egg.)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2In a small bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, salt, and cream until well combined.
  3. 3Place half of the bread crumb mixture into an egg-shirrer or a small oven-safe dish.
  4. 4Carefully crack the egg into the dish on top of the bread crumb mixture.
  5. 5Cover the egg with the remaining bread crumb mixture.
  6. 6Bake in the preheated oven for 6 minutes, or until the egg is cooked to your liking.
