Baked Bananas

Simple baked bananas with a sweet and tangy glaze, perfect for a quick dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 Bananas (About 6 medium bananas in original recipe, adjusted for modern serving size.)
  • 1 tablespoon Butter, melted (Original recipe calls for 2 tablespoons, adjusted for modern serving size.)
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar (Original recipe calls for 1/3 cup, adjusted for modern serving size.)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice (Original recipe calls for 2 tablespoons, adjusted for modern serving size.)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise. Place them in a shallow baking dish.
  2. 2In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, and lemon juice until well combined.
  3. 3Baste the bananas with half of the butter mixture. Bake for 20 minutes, basting halfway through with the remaining mixture.
