Bacon-Wrapped Chicken with Herbs
A simple and flavorful baked chicken dish featuring bacon, green pepper, and chives.
Ingredients
- 2 halves Chicken halves (About 2-3 pounds total)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (Or to taste)
- 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper (Or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons Green pepper (Finely chopped)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh chives (Finely chopped)
- 8 strips Bacon strips (Thinly cut)
Instructions
- 1Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Split and clean the chicken halves. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2Place the chicken halves in a baking dish or roasting pan. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, finely chopped green pepper, and finely cut chives.
- 3Cover the chicken halves with thinly cut strips of bacon, arranging them to cover as much of the chicken as possible.
- 4Bake in the preheated oven for 25-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy. Chicken is done when a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers 165°F (74°C).
- 5Remove the chicken to a serving dish and serve immediately.
