Anchovy Butter

A simple compound butter flavored with anchovy, perfect for spreading on bread, topping grilled fish, or adding richness to sauces.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Unsalted Butter (Softened)
  • 1 teaspoon Anchovy Paste (Or more, to taste)

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, cream the softened butter with a fork or spatula until smooth and light.
  2. 2Add the anchovy paste to the creamed butter. Mix well until the paste is fully incorporated and the butter is evenly flavored. Taste and add more anchovy paste if desired.
  3. 3For best results, chill the anchovy butter in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. This will also make it easier to spread.
